Blue and evil...

Of all the bizarre creatures I seen on the course so far...

When we went to the cafeteria for lunch it was packed - literary packed - with smurfs. Hundreds of little hyperactive kiddies in blue t-shirts running around, screaming, milling, swamping the place. They were there for some kind of sport summer camp, but still... There is a two meter high wall inside the dining hall, semi-separating two halves of it, and I sat and watched those blue little bastards bounce up and down on the other side of it. The scene would have fit well with Benny Hill music.

So, I'm at Colorado School of Mining now. We have spent a bunch of hours in the lab, extracting DNA, running PCR and looking at microscopes. I've bought a tie.
